Papers, ca. 1942-2000.

Contains a letter, written by Catmull, outlining his military experiences. Discusses his affiliation with the first platoon of the modern "Mormon Battalion", the other men in his unit and their character, and his training. Also discusses his work as a RADAR instructor on military bases. Describes the support he received from his family and church throughout the war, making special mention of the promises of divine protection he received from church leaders prior to entering the service, and his gratitude for passing through the war unscathed. Photographs show Catmull in full military dress and with his LDS group in Guam (ca. 1945).
